HOW WILL IT ALL END? (continued)
“Surely, the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7)
THE NATIONS PLOT TO OVERTHROW GOD
Psalm 2:1-4) Why do the nations and the people plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against His Anointed One. “Let us break their chains,” they say, “and throw off their fetters.” The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.
THE LORD APPEARS
Zechariah 12:3) Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle.
Revelation 19:11-16) I saw heaven open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice He judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written on Him that no one knows but He Himself. He is dressed in a robe, dipped in blood, and His name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following Him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of His mouth comes a sharp sword (the Word of God) with which to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On His robe and on His thigh He has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
THE BATTLE
Revelation 19:19-21) Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and His army. But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the lake of burning sulfur. The rest of them were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse. And all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.
Zechariah 12:4) “On that day I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness,” declares the Lord. “I will keep a watchful eye over the house of Judah, but I will blind all the horses of the nations.”
Zechariah 14:12-15) This is the plague with which the Lord will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. On that day men will be stricken by the Lord with great panic. Each man will seize the hand of another, and they will attack each other. A similar plague will strike the horses and mules, and camels and donkeys, and all the animals in those camps.
Revelation 20:1-3) The Apostle John: “And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a 1000 years. He threw him into the abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the 1000 years were ended, after that he must be set free for a short time.
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE FOOLISHNESS TO YOU?
1 Corinthians 2:14) The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
If it sounds like foolishness then maybe you have not received the wonderful gift of God’s grace: The Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior. If you have, you will have the second gift Jesus asked His father to send you in John 14:15-17: “If you love Me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever, the Spirit of Truth.” If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. (Romans 8:9) Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved (Acts 16:31) and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

THE DIRECTOR'S CORNER
As I’m writing, the chapel bell is ringing for morning devotions. It’s the first morning of girls’ overnight camp and 22 girls from grades 3-8 are here, having qualified themselves during the school year for this free week of camp. We’re proud of their hard work. Last week the boys experienced their overnight camp week—the first time for several of them. The Bible focus for our camps this summer is the Ten Commandments. We’re hoping we’ll all get a clearer view of God’s heart and His holiness. After this week there are three weeks of day camps, a two-day VBS, and two Child Evangelism 5-Day Clubs the first week in August. We’d like to think that the Camp is a lighthouse, a safe haven for the children and adults of the community; and with God’s love and direction, we want to continue what was started here 50 years ago. Thank you all for standing with us, for your prayers, gifts, and encouragement. Our annual Praise Banquet is scheduled for September 17—I hope you can come.

BWC CHURCH PICNIC
Sunday, August 14
after the morning church service
We’d like to extend a special invitation to all former campers, counselors, and leaders, and after school club kids—young and old to join us.
Do you remember the old green cabins?
Did you walk over to Camp for club in the ‘50’s?
Did you attend a “bus” club in the ‘60’s?
Were you in Awana sometime since the ‘70’s?
Do you ever say to yourself, “I should get over to the Camp and see everyone?”
Here’s your chance. Plan on a fun afternoon of good food and old-fashioned games on the campgrounds. Just give us a call or an e-mail to let us know that you’re planning to come.
