THE BIBLE IS TRUE
WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT CREATION
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1) "And God said, 'Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.' And it was so. The land produced vegetation; plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1:11, 12) "And God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1:21) "God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1:25) "God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created Him; male and female He created them. God blessed them and said to them, 'Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it." (Genesis 1:27-28a)
"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. He came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive Him. Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God -- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. The Word became flesh and lived for a while among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:1-4, 10-14)
THE HEAVENS STILL SPEAK
"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. (Psalm 19:1-4a)
DO YOU BELIEVE WHAT GOD'S WORD SAYS AND WHAT CREATION SHOWS?

THE DIRECTOR'S CORNER
During a lesson in Boys Day Camp (K-2nd grade) this summer, Mark asked, "What's the best way to carry God's Word?" They guessed, "A big pocket?" "A bag?" Mark had to help them: "In your mind." "Oh," said one boy, "is that why we come here?"
It's true. Almost every program or activity throughout the year involves Bible verses to memorize. Verses lead to Bible stories, and eventually we hope they see the big picture of God's love for them and all mankind.
This is the "catch-your-breath" time of year. Summer camps are over, some put-off projects can get done, and maybe a quick vacation for some of us. The camp grounds have been made available to several churches for weekend retreats during these weeks before school starts. It's good to see the cabins getting more use each year.
Please continue to pray with us for the young people that have come closer to God and His truth during our summer camps.
