IF YOU BELIEVE MOSES:
You would believe that the one and only true and living God in the beginning, created the heavens and the earth.
You would believe that God made light shine out of darkness, that He called the light "day" and the darkness He called "night" on day 1.
You would believe God made an expanse between the waters above and the waters below. The expanse He called "sky" on day 2.
You would believe on day 3, God said, "Let the waters under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." God called the dry ground "land" and the gathered waters He called "seas." Then God said, "Let the dry ground produce vegetation, seed-bearing plants and trees on the land according to their various kinds."
You would believe God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate day from night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days, and years. And let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." On day 4, God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.
You would believe God said on day 5, "Let the waters teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing, with which the waters teem according to their kind. God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number, and fill the water in the seas, and let birds increase on the earth."
You would believe what happened on day 6. God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind."
You would believe God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
You would believe the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
You would believe the Lord God said, "It is not good for man to be alone. I will make a suitable helper for him." God caused man to fall into a deep sleep. While he was sleeping, God took one of the man's ribs and closed the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib He had taken out of man, and He brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called 'woman' for she was taken out of man." For this reason a man will leave his father and mother, and be united to his wife and they will become one flesh.
Jesus was talking to His enemies in John 5:46 when He said, "If you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me." Jesus was and is the Creator. (John 1:3; Hebrews 11:3)
In these last days God has spoken to us by His Son—through whom He made the universe. After Jesus provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. He left behind this message on earth: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Me." (John 14:6)
Have you taken the way, believed the truth, and received eternal life?
Tomorrow may be too late.

THE DIRECTOR'S CORNER
Some special bonds are created during the six months of after-school clubs, between some of the children and their leaders who come here from their college campus or their homes each week. Some of the leaders ask to work with the same child each week during the small group time, providing a consistent relationship the child needs in discovering God's love.
While driving the children home from Club a couple weeks ago, one of the 2nd grade girls asked me to give a message to her leader when I got back to Camp—something about a promised treat. I explained that that leader didn't live at the Camp but she probably wouldn't forget. (She didn't.) Another leader didn't have her protege' at the final club of the year and asked us to give her the message that, though she would not be back in the fall, she would be back next spring.
Nowhere in the Bible are we commanded to conduct an Awana program. But we ARE commanded to bear fruit, win souls, build Christ's kingdom. Our programs are only the framework, the real work is being done by God's Spirit through His willing servants who come here, look a child in the eyes and share with them God's love and truth.
Thank you, leaders and helpers, and all of you involved in praying for this year's children's clubs.
